Wayne Rooney scores his 50th, breaking England’s all time goalscoring record!
After equaling Sir Bobby Charlton’s 49 goal record last weekend, Wayne Rooney has today broke the all time record after scoring again in today’s game against Switzerland. He has now scored an astonishing 50 goals in 107 appearances for his national team.
Wayne Rooney was the youngest player to play for England when he played in a friendly against Australia in 2003 at the young age of 17. Later on that year he became the youngest ever goal scorer to score for England he became the youngest player to score for England after scoring in the Euro 2004 qualifying match against Macedonia. At 29 years of age Wayne Rooney has appeared in 3 World Cups for England and is now the captain of the team for the Euro 2016.
