Manchester United sign the most expensive teenager in football history.

Anthony Martial has signed for Manchester United from Monaco in a £36m deal. This made him the most expensive teenager in football history! He will be wearing Manchester United’s number 9. He is now also United’s 3rd most expensive signing ever after Di Maria and Mata.

The previous record transfer fee for a teenager was already held by Manchester United after the signing of Luke Shaw for £27m from Southampton last summer.

Martian had joined Monaco from Lyon in 2013 for €5 million, scoring 11 goals in his 45 appearances. He was part of the the team that eliminated Arsenal from the Champions League, having an impressive performance at the Emirates stadium.
