Ex Manchester United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich has urged Louis van Gaal to sign Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris instead of Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen. United are on the look-out for a new goalkeeper with continuous news that David de Gea is keen to move to Real Madrid. In the meantime Cillessen has been consistently linked with a reunion with Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal.
When asked about Manchester United’s prospective signings, Bosnich had this to say:
I’m not sure about Cillessen. I think he was OK at the last World Cup, but he’s not someone who stands out in being dominant. The Premier League is the most physically demanding in the world and it takes players quite a while to adjust to that. The same happened to David De Gea during his first season. Lloris knows the English League inside out and he’s had success.
